Lying in the North West of Church Hill is a wide area of green open space that not many members of the community know about or use today. It’s known as Bomford Hill, taking its name from the landowner who once owned and farmed a great majority of the land that a today’s Church Hill District is built upon.
One of the major green spaces in Church Hill.
Bomford Hill Park is one of the major large open green park areas in the North part of Church Hill, created as part of the new town it sits between Redstone Close, Paxford Close and borders on to Paper Mill Drive at the north and the old Icknield Street Roman road to the north west.
Throughout the site you will find out some local history, facts and photos of and about the area and find what is happening today and for the future and how you could get involved and be part of the Friend of Bomford Hill Park to help make this an area that all the community can use and enjoy.
